The Sims All Grown Up ‘official trailer’ almost caught us out for a minute

The internet is a cesspit. This is not new news, but every now and then you stop and think, “That’s genius”. It may be a cat attacking a bear, or a three-year-old swearing, but just occasionally, it’s all been worth it.

Step forward the trailer that just appeared on my YouTube feed, because the algo works in mysterious ways, for The Sims: All Grown Up – Official Trailer – Netflix. Initially, I was like, “How have I not heard of this?”, but that would be because it is a spoof, and a funny one at that.

Aping the constant torrent of crap firing from Netflix, documenting pretty much everything that’s ever happened in the same dramatic format, All Grown Up speaks to ex-Sims about the traumas they suffered in the game and complaints about having to do non-stop WooHoo. All the dialogue is in Simish, so subtitles are included.

I’m probably doing the creator Josh Shediak no favors by pointing you towards it, especially with all that Netflix branding on the thumbnail, so I’d suggest you watch it quick before the lawyers with the sense of humor bypass get up.

I genuinely laughed when the second ‘Sim’ started talking, “I was cooking in the kitchen, so I put my baby on the floor. As everybody did at the time…” This is some sharp writing, but if you watch any of his other videos, you should not be surprised. May I also point you to the one where he unboxes his AI girlfriend?

You’re welcome. Now if only this was real.
