Emma Roberts is reflecting on her wedding to Cody John, which took place last weekend in Sun Valley, Idaho.
Earlier this week the 35-year-old actress' dad Eric Roberts, 70, confirmed to Daily Mail that he did not attend the nuptials.
In the wake of his absence, Emma broke tradition and was walked down the aisle by her five-year-old son Rhodes, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Garrett Hedlund.
She reflected on the special day in an in-depth Vogue feature, where she commented on a black and white photo of the tot holding her hand at the ceremony.
'A picture is worth a thousand words – and in this case, a million,' the American Horror Story star said about the striking image.
In his statement, Eric, older brother to Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts, did not reveal why he was not at the wedding.

He said: 'I love my daughter, always have, always will. It is perfectly wonderful for her to celebrate however she wants, with whomever she wants.'
It's unclear if Emma extended a wedding invitation to her father.

He previously claimed they are not estranged and that their relationship 'is only complicated through outside eyes… because they don't get any of it.'
'So they have their own take, whatever that is,' he said on Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson in late March.
Eric and ex Kelly Cunningham welcomed Emma in February 1991, and separated seven months later.
Eric's beloved sister Julia and husband Danny Moder were present at Emma and John's wedding.
Other famous faces that appeared in the Vogue spread include Kristen Stewart, Sarah Paulson, and Demi Moore.
Emma announced her engagement in 2024 with an Instagram post showing off her diamond ring and the caption: 'Putting this here before my mom tells everyone.'

Emma and John, 36, exchanged vows outdoors at the actor's family estate in Sun Valley.
The bride, who previously called off an engagement to Evan Peters, wore a custom white gown with asymmetrical sleeves by Monique Lhuillier, as reported by Vogue.
Following the ceremony, she slipped into an archival after-party dress by the designer.
And for his part, John was dressed in a brown suit.
Emma told Vogue about collaborating with Lhuillier on her gown, 'I didn’t really know what I wanted.
'I just knew that I wanted it to feel very vintage-inspired. I'm obsessed with antique books and treasure hunting, and I love collecting old ephemera, so I really wanted that to shine through in the dress.'
