Coastal Family Health Center hosts 3rd annual Just Because community event
GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) — Coastal Family Health Center held its third annual Just Because community event, offering free food, health screenings and resources to the public.The event included activities for children, including Connect 4 and basketball, while adults explored available family resources. Medical screenings were free, and bins of clothing were available for families in need.(wlox)Integrated Behavior Health Director Shanavier Clark said the organization offers services beyond medical care.“We have so much more to offer than just medical. We have dental who is also out here doing free screenings for the children. We have behavioral health, we have WIC, we have optometry. We have a plethora of other services,” Clark said.Coastal Family Health Center said the event was designed as a gesture of appreciation to the community it serves.“They always show how appreciative they are of us and this is our way to show this gratitude back to them,” Prenda James of Coastal Family Health Center said.See a spelling or grammar error in this story?
