UNC Health Family Medicine at Middlesex to welcome patients Aug. 4
MIDDLESEX — UNC Health Nash will expand access to primary care in western Nash County with the opening of UNC Health Family Medicine at Middlesex on Tuesday, Aug. 4.Located at 7620 Middlesex Corporate Parkway, the new facility will replace the current UNC Internal Medicine and Pediatrics practice and provide additional space for primary care services. The facility will include eight family medicine and internal medicine providers, including physicians and practitioners relocating from the existing Middlesex practice. Those providers will continue caring for established patients while the expanded facility increases capacity to serve new patients throughout western Nash County and communities near the Wake-Nash county line.The practice will provide care for patients at all stages of life, beginning at birth, including routine wellness visits, preventive care, chronic disease management and other primary care services.“This new facility reflects our commitment to the future of western Nash County,” said Dr. L. We are proud to bring the resources of UNC Health closer to more patients and to continue building a long-term presence in this part of the region.”The new location will provide residents of Middlesex and surrounding communities, including Wendell and Zebulon, with greater access to UNC Health Medical Group providers and services. The facility’s location also offers patients an option for routine care closer to home rather than traveling farther into central Nash County or more congested areas of Wake County.The Middlesex medical office building is part of UNC Health Nash’s ongoing efforts to expand healthcare services and strengthen the region’s healthcare infrastructure. UNC Health Nash will continue providing specialty services at its existing Middlesex location while expanding services across the campus.MRI services are expected to be added at the new facility within the next year to help meet the growing demand for imaging services. UNC Health Nash also is evaluating future uses for the existing site, including the potential addition of urgent care services.As services continue to expand, the Middlesex campus is expected to create additional healthcare career opportunities in the community.
