Bibee left with one out in the 8th after conceding a walk and single to the #8 and #9 guys in Arizona's lineup. The rest of the inning went exactly as you'd expect.

Sabrowski came in to relieve Bibee and went: walk, RBI single, (2-)RBI single. 4 strikes in 10 pitches. Arizona took a 3-1 lead on that second single after Martinez let a ball get by him. Festa came on.

Festa came on in a 2-run game in the 8th with runners on second and third. Instead of bringing on Holderman, Gaddis, or even Cade, he brought on Festa. That should tell you all you need to know about his faith in this offense. Festa gave up another run, and then induced an inning ending double-play.

Have no fear, the middle of the Guardians order was due up in the 8th! Jose flew out, DeLauter grounded out, and Manzardo flew out. It took Kevin Ginkel 11 pitches to retire the meat of this order.

Will Dion pitched a scoreless ninth, and Brandyn Garcia closed out the game by retiring Rocchio, Halpin, and Bazzana in 7 pitches.
