How are newly elected councillors coping with life on the council?

It’s been over two and a half months since the local elections in England.

Labour’s heavy defeats back in May have since played a huge role in the downfall of Prime minister Keir Starmer and the rise of Andy Burnham.
Reform UK came out the big winners, gaining more than 1,000 new councillors.

And that means the landscape of local government has drastically changed – with hundreds of first-time councillors now running public services.
