Even the name evokes images of hazy summer days and beach treats — and Cotton Rock at The Cliffs in Ballycotton is supremely well placed for both.

This three-bedroom bungalow is the last house on a laneway just after the Mary Stanford lifeboat on the way up to the gorgeous Ballycotton Cliffs walk.

It’s elevated, south-facing, and it’s on 0.6-acre gardens.

The current owners cleverly installed a long glasshouse against an old stone boundary wall which offered great thermal mass to give a heat boost to tomatoes and salad leaves. To add to the rustic charm, they also kept hens here too.
