What’s New in NumisMaster: July 2026 – Bank Note Edition

Back in November 2025, the Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan announced the release of three polymer bank notes to commemorate the 70th birth anniversary of the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, Jigme Singye Wangchuck. These notes became available in January of this year in 100, 500, and 1,000 ngultrum. They are made of polymer and have upgraded security features compared to their paper counterparts, which will remain as legal tender.
