PM Family Care Tracker: Gujarat Launches Health Passport for Maternal and Child Health
Union Home and Cooperation Minister launched the pilot project of PM Family Care Tracker (PM-FCT) in Gandhingar, Gujarat. A digital platform to ensure that pregnant women, mothers and children get all eligible government benefits through monitoring and timely delivery of the government welfare schemes. What is PM Family Care Tracker (PM-FCT)? The initiative is an integrated digital platform to track health, nutrition and education of beneficiaries from pregnancy until the age of 18 by using a unique ID linked to the Birth Registration Number or ABHA ID. Under the PM Family Tracker an integrated monitoring system will be developed and eligible beneficiaries will be identified and special attention will be provided to them. Who are the beneficiaries under the PM-FCT ?The projects include key performance indicators to monitor maternal health, child vaccination, malnutrition, school enrolments and dropout rates, adolescent girls' health, educational performance, and integration of beneficiary records across departments. The Tracker will integrate data from multiple government ministries and welfare scheme ( nearly 18) across the health, nutrition, education and social welfare departments. It will generate risk alerts and monitor key indicators including vaccination, malnutrition, school enrolment and dropout rates of children. The data will also be linked with the birth and death data of the beneficiary. The platform will be implemented at the village, taluka and district or state level to track compliance until action is completed and the platform incorporates an automated alert mechanism such as if a child misses polio vaccination the system will immediately generate an alert for the local health officials.The integrated platform covers key government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Janani Suraksha Yojana, PM Poshan, Mission Vatsalya, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, PM Cares for Children and the National Child Labour Projects to connect India’s goal of Viksit Gujarat @2047 and Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
