There have been no confirmed illnesses associated with consumption of these productsThe Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has issued a list of popular ready meals on sale in Ireland that are being recalled over fears they could contain a bacteria that can lead to nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.The specific batches of Pettitt's Kitchen products are being recalled due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.Listeria monocytogenes is the species of pathogenic bacteria that causes the infection listeriosis. Listeriosis is a rare infection that should go away on its own but it can others to be seriously ill.Retailers are requested to remove the implicated batches from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale. Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batches.There have been no confirmed illnesses associated with consumption of these products.If you have eaten any recalled foods and are feeling well, you do not need to do anything.
