Oil prices drop to $83 a barrel after US-Iran deal announced
Brent crude oil fell 4.7% to $83.24 a barrel, while stock markets across Asia and Europe rallied after news of a U.S.-Iran peace deal.
U.S. President Donald Trump said on social media that Washington and Tehran had agreed to end the conflict. He added that he had ordered the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the lifting of the U.S. naval blockade.
'Ships of the world, start your engines. Let the oil flow!' Trump wrote.
