Zelensky plans talks with allies at upcoming G7, EU and NATO summits
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday that he plans intensive talks with partner states in the coming weeks at a series of high-level summits.He said the discussions will focus on new sanctions against Russia, increased support for Ukraine and in particular air defence and long-range weapons.Kiev is also seeking for progress on agreements that would provide for investments in Ukrainian drone production in exchange for the delivery of finished drones, he said during his evening address.He specifically referred to a meeting of the Group of Seven (G7) leading industrialized democracies in France at the start of the week, followed by an EU summit in Brussels.Zelensky also cited a NATO summit in Turkey in the second week of July.Ukraine has been fending off a Russian invasion for more than four years with Western support.
