Joe Rogan tells Donald Trump exactly what UFC fans think of him after Knicks boos
Popular podcaster and Donald Trump ally Joe Rogan has advised the U.S. President to attend only UFC events after being booed at the NBA Finals this week.President Trump was in attendance at Madison Square Garden on Monday night as the New York Knicks hosted the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 of their NBA Finals series, and it wasn't long before he was subjected to a chorus of boos as those present made their feelings toward him perfectly clear. The loud boos were heard as the 79-year-old was shown on the Jumbotron in New York as he stood front and center in a VIP suite shielded by bulletproof glass in the mid-level of the arena, though despite his best efforts, he struggled not to offer a wry smile and a smirk at the reception he was receiving. Now, Rogan has advised Trump to "stick to the UFC. They're going to boo him everywhere else." It comes after a lip reader revealed Trump's desperate 8-word plea as he was brutally booed at the Knicks game.It was just the latest example of President Trump being booed at a sporting event, following on from the same scenario happening at a Washington Commanders NFL game, the U.S. Open and the FIFA Club World Cup.Booing in general has become more frequent during Trump's public appearances as he struggles to live up to some of his election campaign promises, but one place he seems to continue to feel the love is at UFC events, prompting Rogan to make a suggestion.Speaking on one of the latest episodes of his Powerful JRE podcast this week, the UFC color commentator advised the Republican to simply "stick to UFC", given that he is "adored" by those in attendance at the promotion's events."He should stick to the UFC. They're going to boo him everywhere else," Rogan said. "Some people cheered. I heard it was like cheers and boos. But the problem is, if there's like 50/50, don't go to that spot. Go to the UFC."People say he got booed at the UFC. I've seen him at the UFC six times or something like that. Never get booed. He's never gotten booed. They f---ing cheer. The people that say they're booing him, you're distorting reality. It's not true. They cheer him."Rogan added how the crowd particularly adores it when Trump enters the arena to Kid Rock's "American Bad Ass", especially if the country rock star and UFC CEO Dana White are walking alongside him."It was like the conservative Avengers," Rogan recalled of the trio walking side-by-side into the arena. "It was like, this is ridiculous."Despite all the people surrounding him, including his eldest granddaughter, Kai, President Trump also had another viral moment beyond being booed: he seemed to fall asleep during the game.Footage has emerged showing him closing his eyes as he clasps his hands in his lap, his head dipping slightly for approximately 45 seconds. He then suddenly reopens his eyes with a start, glances around, and refocuses on the action on the court.
