“Just like her dad”: “Never-seen” photo of Prince Harry & only daughter Lilibet released for special occasion
Birthday wishes are in order for one young member of the Royal Family today (Thursday 4 June), as her parents share a special post in honour of the occasion. Prince Harry and Meghan’s daughter, Princess Lilibet is now five years old, and the couple marked the occasion by sharing a never-seen photo of their youngest child.Taking to Instagram, Meghan shared an adorable family photo of Prince Harry holding his only daughter, Princess Lilibet, and grinning at her. The couple don’t share their children’s faces publicly, so Lilibet is seen from behind, with her long red hair – just like her dad’s – worn loose over a cream dress. In a caption alongside the snaps, Meghan referred to Lilibet as ‘Our dream girl,’ and wished a ‘Happy 5th birthday’ to ‘Lili’, the nickname she and Prince Harry use for their daughter. Lilibet’s birth name is technically also a nickname, which was attributed to her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. As a child, 'Elizabeth' was shortened to ‘Lilibet’, and the couple chose to pass this name onto their daughter in The Queen's honour. The couple also share a son, Prince Archie, who they welcomed the year after their wedding in 2019.
