Teen pulled down transgender woman’s skirt at amusement park: police
SANDUSKY, OH -- An 18-year-old Ohio man is facing multiple charges after he police said he pulled down the skirt and underwear of a transgender woman at Cedar Point amusement park last week.According to WTOL-11, Marquez Williams was arrested on May 26 shortly after fleeing from the park and leading police on a chase through the parking lot.The incident took place around 8:30 p.m., shortly after the woman and her friends finished riding the Top Thrill Dragster 2 ride.April Dempster, a friend of the victim, told Cleveland-19 News that the group was walking down the midway toward the exit when Williams struck.Williams is accused of approaching the victim from behind, grabbing her skirt and pulling it and her underwear down to her ankles. The woman’s genitals were exposed, according to witnesses. Several children witnessed the incident, according to police. Witnesses also reported seeing Williams film the incident and that he was laughing as he ran away.As Williams ran toward the exit, Dempster followed before spotting a security guard. After informing the guard of what happened, police began chasing Williams. After leading police on a foot chase in the parking lot, officers used a stun gun and other “reasonable force” to detain Williams, according to the police report.Williams faces charges of one count each of public indecency, persistent disorderly conduct, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. Bond was set at $8,000 with 10% allowed.Williams posted bail the night of his arrest. He participated in his high school graduation less than a week later, a Fremont City school official confirmed.
