Cutis redefines nude with Naya collection

French lingerie brand Cutis Paris is redefining the concept of nude lingerie with the launch of its first collection, Naya, developed using Q-Nova by Fulgar regenerated polyamide yarn. For many years, nude lingerie was associated with a single light beige shade that failed to reflect the diversity of women’s skin tones. Cutis Paris was created to challenge this traditional approach through a combination of science, inclusivity and responsible sourcing. The brand’s concept is based on research conducted on 100,000 women across Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States. The study enabled the company to map a wide range of skin tones and develop a palette designed to complement different complexions. According to Cutis, nude should not be considered a standardised shade, but rather a form of personal expression. Customers can choose subtle tone-on-tone effects that blend naturally with the skin or opt for contrasting shades designed to enhance their complexion. The initial colour palette includes warm mineral-inspired tones such as Dune, Sienna and Terracotta, alongside Jais, a classic black shade intended as a timeless lingerie essential. The company is also working to expand the range with the aim of offering five universal nude shades suitable for all skin tones. The Naya collection has been designed to combine sophistication, comfort and responsibility. Cutis selected Q-Nova by Fulgar for the collection because of its softness, breathability, lightness and moisture-regulating properties, helping create garments intended to function as a second skin. Q-Nova is a regenerated polyamide 6.6 yarn produced using reclaimed raw materials through a low environmental impact mechanical process. The selection reflects the brand’s commitment to using responsibly produced, high-quality European fibres alongside 100% French manufacturing. “We wanted to redefine the concept of nude, which for far too long has been associated with a single shade and disconnected from the true diversity of women’s skin tones,” said Mariatou Traore, founder of Cutis Paris. “Our goal is to elevate nude lingerie from a purely functional item to an elegant wardrobe piece in which every woman can see herself, without having to choose between inclusivity and comfort.” Traore added that the decision to use Q-Nova by Fulgar reflected the company’s intention to work with responsible, high-performance yarns capable of delivering garments that combine comfort, durability and aesthetics. Daniela Antunes, Marketing Manager at Fulgar, said the collaboration demonstrated a contemporary and authentic interpretation of innovation. She added that Q-Nova provides a certified and traceable yarn combining performance, comfort and environmental responsibility. The Naya collection will be available exclusively through the official Cutis Paris website from 27 May. www.cutisparis.fr www.fulgar.com
