The secret Sam is keeping is totally innocent and nothing to worry about. Over the past few weeks, he’s been having dance lessons from Ross Barton (Michael Parr) in an attempt to surprise ballroom and latin lover Lydia. Lydia regularly attends dance classes, but rehearses with other men or women because Sam made it crystal clear that there is no way he’d be shaking his hips in front of everyone in the middle of a Cha Cha. It’s all part of his plan though. Ross has been helping Sam with learning how to dance (Picture: ITV) Unbeknownst to Lydia, Sam has been getting to grips with a basic two step thanks to Ross, who learnt how to dance to help him stay nimble on his feet in boxing matches. They’ve been practicing in barns on Emmerdale Farm, and have also snuck into Lydia’s rehersals to see what she’s been up to. However, because Sam is spending so much time doing this, and also lying to Lydia about where he goes, it’s starting to cause her concern. She’s annoyed with her husband, and it becomes apparent that Sam has missed Lydia’s request of them eating lunch together.
