MediaDailyNews: Reddit Expands Shopify Integration To All Advertisers

Reddit has announced a global expansion of its recent integration with Shopify in an effort to help merchants launch Reddit campaigns while utilizing the platform’s year-old Dynamic Product Ads (DPA) format. In a continued effort to develop its reputation as an ecommerce hub by boosting high-intent shopping conversations and conversions on the forum-styled platform, Reddit began testing an integration with Shopify in March, aiming to simplify catalog and Pixel setup while enabling easier onboarding for new DPA advertisers. By partnering with Shopify, which hosts millions of merchants selling to customers across over 175 countries, Reddit is inviting advertisers to directly link their Reddit Ads account to a Shopify storefront and track conversions via the social platform’s codeless Pixel signalling feature.advertisementadvertisementWith catalog syncing, the integration is also designed to automatically update product details on Reddit, including images, live pricing, descriptions, and inventory levels. Integrating Shopify follows Reddit’s recent partnership with WooCommerce, another ecommerce platform with millions of digital storefronts. To further boost its retail business, the social company has also launched a range AI-powered tools trained to turn 20 years of user posts and comments into brand-centric performance insights (i.e. “Community Intelligence”), and shoppable ad types.Per Reddit’s Q1 earnings report, the company’s ecommerce efforts resulted in a 40% year-over-year boost in high-intent shopping conversations on the platform, while 84% of Reddit shoppers report feeling more secure in their purchases after researching products on the platform. A recent company announcement also states that retail advertisers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa increased their investments in Reddit by over 8x between 2023-2025.
