The 38-year-old lawmaker, who won a special election earlier this year, bested his 78-year-old counterpart, who was seeking a 12th term in Congress. Rep. Green opted to run in the newly drawn 18th District after his own district was carved up in Republicans’ mid-decade gerrymandering push. Rep.
