Alegado revives talks on Tayud reclamation project
MANDAUE CITY, Cebu – After a brief lull, Consolation Mayor Teresa Alegado is reviving discussions on her proposal to reclaim portions of the shoreline in Barangay Tayud. In a letter dated May 12, 2026, Alegado informed Tayud barangay councilor Nicole Alectis Escobido that a public consultation will be held at the barangay hall at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 25. “Your attendance and valuable inputs will greatly contribute to a meaningful and productive consultation process,” part of the mayor’s letter read.
