Julianne Moore just signed on to executive produce and star in a Netflix mother-daughter comedy following five consecutive dramatic roles.The untitled project comes from Higher Ground, the production company founded in 2018 by former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama.The married couple of 33 years previously produced films like American Symphony (2023), Descendant (2022) and Becoming (2020).The 65-year-old outspoken Democrat previously rubbed elbows with the 62-year-old IMO podcaster during an American Magazine Media Conference panel with Lena Dunham in 2016.Variety reported Thursday that the multi-generational movie will be similar in tone to Glenn Ficarra and John Requa's 2011 rom-com Crazy, Stupid, Love in which Moore (born Julie Anne Smith) portrayed Steve Carell's onscreen cheating wife.
