Ranking fourth, Greece stood out for its diverse range of destinations, combining coastal scenery with mountain villages beyond famous islands like Santorini and Crete.
“From the countryside to mountain villages, there is a wealth of history, culture, and coastline to discover,” the editor said. The report highlighted Greece’s postcard-perfect islands, rich collection of ancient sites, and cuisine known for its fresh Mediterranean flavors.
The stone spires of Meteora remain among Greece’s most iconic travel experiences.
Based on locals’ recommendations, travelers are encouraged to explore Serifos in the heart of the Cyclades, Crete’s southern Rethymno coast, and the laid-back haven of Koufonisia.
