Outdoor Inc. to close after more than 50 years in business
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Outdoor Inc. has announced the closure of its store after more than half a century in business.In a social media post on Sunday, the company thanked customers, staff, vendors, and the Memphis community for decades of support.Outdoors Inc. announced its closing after 52 years in business.(Outdoors Inc)“It’s been 52 great years. Outdoors, Inc. has been our life’s passion, and our greatest joy has been sharing it with all of you. A social post said, ‘The best part has been outfitting amazing adventures and experiences for our customers, staff, neighbors, and friends.”The store’s going-out-of-business sale started Monday, with the bike shop sale beginning Tuesday, May 19. Most items are 25% to 60% off, but boats, bikes, and electronics will have individual prices. Some services, like bike maintenance, are not discounted. All sales are final and in person only.“We hope that you will come by - not just for the deals - but to share stories and to be a part of saying goodbye to 52 years of outfitting human powered recreation in Memphis and beyond,” social post said.
