This was only the latest in a long line of redundancy deals dating back to his first exit from Chelsea in September 2007. Real Madrid, Chelsea again, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Roma also sent him packing with enormous wallops of money. The Fenerbahce bum’s rush brought his total accumulated pay-offs to a guesstimated €106m.
