TOWIE star Jake Hall's tragic final hours emerge as new Majorca details come to light

Just over a week on from TOWIE star Jake Hall's tragic passing, fresh details have emerged shedding light on his final hours. The reality television personality, who close friends say had been struggling with mental health difficulties in the months leading up to his death, was discovered at his rented villa on the island of Majorca.Jake, who passed away at the age of 35, had affectionately referred to the Balearic island as his "healing island". Having lived there as a youngster while his parents invested in property, he returned as an adult to spend lengthy summers on the island. His final visit to Majorca began when he travelled to the small town of Santa Margalida on Tuesday 5 May, accompanied by a group of friends. The unnamed companions had spent time partying at the villa before heading to the island's capital, Palma, roughly a 40-minute drive from where they were based. The group returned to the villa, which was reportedly rented solely in his name, in the early hours of the morning.During the gathering, he shared a video on Instagram featuring clips of himself alongside his eight year old daughter River, whom he had with former partner Misse Beqiri. In what would prove to be his final post, Jake wrote: "Life is b******s sometimes but I'm gonna try to remember the good things." According to fresh reports, a neighbour passed the property on foot at 4.40am while heading to work, noticing the group were playing loud music and that the front door's shutters were open. When another local passed at 6.30am, the party was reportedly still in full swing. However, just 45 minutes later, at around 7.15am, another neighbour, a 70 year old construction worker, reportedly heard an enormous commotion. He claims to have heard loud bangs and glass smashing, with the previously blaring music cutting out abruptly - leaving the street shrouded in an eerie silence, reports the Mirror. The witness, known as Rafael, recalled that morning, saying he heard "no screams", and rushed into the property to help. He said: "I could then see a body lying on the patio surrounded by a pool of blood."Rafael stated that Jake's friends were out in the street crying out for help, while Jake's body was covered in cuts, particularly across his arms. Someone had draped a T-shirt over him, with the passer-by adding: "He also had glass shards lodged in his neck and chest. There was a big red mark on his head."Despite the efforts of Rafael, and later paramedics, nothing could be done to save Jake. Contradicting earlier reports, he also noted there were no signs of drugs or alcohol within the property. While a private post-mortem has already been conducted, the circumstances surrounding Hall's death mean it is likely to be referred to the coroner upon return to the UK, where a toxicology report and official cause of death would be produced.Friends of Jake were reportedly worried about his mental wellbeing in the months prior, and it is said he had previously made attempts to take his own life. The television personality was believed to be approximately £1.5m in debt.Subscribe to our newsletter for the latest news from the Irish Mirror direct to your inbox: Sign up here.
