Four people are in a critical condition after a car plowed into a crowd in Italy
A car has been driven into a crowd of pedestrians on a city street in Italy, leaving four people critically injured and fighting for their lives.
People are reported to have been crushed against the wall of a shop on the busy Via Emilia Centro in Modena this afternoon.
It’s believed one woman may have had to have her legs amputated after the horrific incident.

The driver fled the scene immediately after the impact, and police have begun a manhunt to try to track him down.
At this time, it’s known that seven people have been taken to hospital with varying degrees of injuries, but four people are known to be in a critical condition.
