Dozens of chicken products recalled from Aldi, Lidl, Tesco and more
A major warning has been issued for multiple chicken products which have been recalled in Ireland, with a number of supermarkets impacted by the urgent warningAn urgent "do not eat" warning has been issued for 36 chicken products across multiple supermarkets.The recall is being made due to the possible presence of Salmonella in some Manor Farm chicken items. Aldi, Tesco, Lidl, Centra, Dunnes Stores and Supervalu all stock the impacted products.The Food Safety Authority said that consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batches. A notice from the FSAI said: "Manor Farm is recalling the various batches of chicken products listed below due to the possible presence of Salmonella."Although the implicated batches are past their use by date, the products are suitable for home freezing. The main symptom is diarrhea, which can sometimes be bloody, along with fever, headaches, and stomach cramps.Most people feel sick for 4 to 7 days, but in some cases, the diarrhea can be severe enough to require a hospital stay.
