Why the LEGO minifigure Bionicle Cosplayer mask is in-demand
One character from LEGO Minifigures Series 29 is proving to be wanted for its parts – the Bionicle Cosplayer, with a mask that has a multitude of uses.
LEGO Minifigures Series 29 was released on May 1, but even when the range was first revealed, the Bionicle Cosplayer was predicted to be the minifigure that held the greatest appeal.
So it has proven, and minifigure hunters worldwide have been searching for the Bionicle Cosplayer, and those who have used Brick Search Plus’s minifigure scanner will have found it easier to come by.
Brick Search Plus’s minifigure scanner reads the code on the base of the blind box packaging to determine what minifigure is inside. And that is especially useful when one minifigure is wanted above all others.
Jack Yates of Brick Fanatics explains why the Bionicle Cosplayer is so in demand:
“The Bionicle Cosplayer isn’t limited to being a nostalgic blend of Bionicle and exploration of cosplay in minifigure form. It also comes with some interesting printed and exclusive elements that you can use elsewhere.
“Tahu’s minifigure-scale mask is the star, and the only new piece in the minifigure. It’s one piece to grab at least two of. This is so that you can take a metallic gold Sharpie and change the colour.”
“It’ll be just like the legendary variations of the signature mask that were scattered across the wave and giveaways back in the theme’s glory days. There’s nothing to stop you from painting it silver instead, or both for a metallic Bionicle mask display on a much smaller scale, and at a much lower cost.
“Beyond that mask, the minifigure-sized Bionicle canister is a useful element to amass, too. Whether you want to upgrade the Racer Seven minifigure from NINJAGO City Markets with a print, or stock a shop in your LEGO world with Bionicle, it’s an undeniably cool print.”
Brick Search Plus members get unlimited use of the minifigure scanner – ideal for finding one, two or 20 Bionicle Cosplayers for that new mask.
There is also a minifigure checklist, found on the scanner page, allowing collectors to choose how many of each minifigure they want – and when scanning a box code, tapping the green arrow will add that minifigure to your checklist.
And if you want to know if a minifigure is likely to be in stock in your nearest LEGO store, the minifigure stock checker can help.
Brick Search Plus is available to download for iOS devices from the App Store and for Android devices from the Google Play Store. Not only do Plus members get unlimited use of the minifigure scanner, but they also get full access to the app’s LEGO archive of more than 10,000 sets to build their wishlist and collection – which can now be synced with Brickset – and 3% cashback on purchases made via Brick Search at LEGO.com.
