British tourists stranded on board a luxury cruise ship at the centre of a deadly rat-virus outbreak have finally reached land. A coach load of Brits were seen waving and giving a thumbs up to reporters as they were driven from Granadilla port to Tenerife’s airport. A total of 146 people, including 22 British nationals, were trapped on the doomed liner for weeks after three passengers died from hantavirus. Groups of MV Hondius passengers have been taken to shore in waves, dressed in blue scrubs and head caps. Sealed-off buses are then carrying people to the nearby airport for them to board repatriation flights home. #hantavirus #worldhealthorganization #worldnews
