My kind response: Accountability, sign offs, flexible thinking, Supervision, out of the box thinking... There’s just so much that Engineers , Technologists do and need to. Ensuring that systems keep on improving and most definitely they are there to make sure everything is more efficient and fast. Now that is something that one can’t really automate. Maybe in another world or near future (unlikely). It’s complex but credit to all those embracing change and these newer and highly innovative technologies.
