Two men found guilty of spying for China in the UK

The government has summoned the Chinese ambassador to the Foreign Office after a Border Force official and retired Hong Kong police superintendent were found guilty of carrying out ‘shadow policing’ operations for China, here in Britain. Dual Chinese-British nationals Peter Wai and Bill Yuen have been convicted of assisting a foreign intelligence service, with Wai also found guilty of misconduct in public office for using the Home Office computer system to search for people of interest to the Hong Kong authorities.
