'Halloween' movie star Beau Starr passes away at 81
Beau Starr, who appeared in many Halloween films, has passed away at the age of 81.
According to TMZ, Beau’s brother, Mike Starr, announced the tragic news of his passing, revealing that the famous American actor embraced death peacefully on April 24, 2026, in Vancouver, Canada.
Mike went on to note that many loved his late brother and made the grieving family believe that he was “very unique and special."
He admitted that Beau was a father figure to him as he raised him with their parents and other siblings as well as remarkably influenced his life.
It is pertinent to mention that before relocating to Canada and starting his career in acting, the late actor was a professional baseball player and was on the New York Jets’ practice squad from 1966 to ’68. Later, he became part of the Montreal Alouettes and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Beau made his onscreen debut in the sketch comedy show Bizarre along with stars like Howie Mandel and Bob Einstein in 1979.
In 1982, he stepped into the movie world by signing the role of Cop Passenger in Hanky Panky with stars, including James Tolkan, Gene Wilder, Richard Widmark, Gilda Radner, and others.
It is important to note that Beau Starr shot to fame with his portrayal of Sheriff Ben Meeker in Halloween IV (1988) and Halloween V (1989).
