DOJ owns 35 residential homes allocated to asylum seekers
In the course of researching and writing the report based on my discovery that the Department of Justice is the owner of a house in Stamullen designated to house asylum seekers, I mentioned that I had made some inquiries to the Department.
The house in the Forgehill estate is to be used to accommodate persons who have applied for International Protection and who would normally be housed either in one of the large State owned IPAS centres such as Citywest Hotel and Convention Centre, or in one of the more than 300 privately owned premises contracted to companies by the Department.
