Larry M. Wertheim Obituary
Golden Valley - age 75, of Golden Valley, MN passed away on April 27, 2026. Preceded in death by parents Jack and Marian Wertheim. Survived by his loving wife of half-a-century, Alice Okrent; his treasured sons, Joel and Ira; daughter-in-law, Betsy; adored grandchildren, Naomi and Maya. Larry lived the life of the mind. He was an avid reader, amateur jazz musician, social golfer, and generous friend. He worked as a lawyer at Kennedy & Graven for 50 years, specializing in commercial and residential real estate contracts. He was the architect for landmark legislative reform protecting property buyers through Contract for Deed. He taught courses on "Law and Literature" at the Mitchell Hamline School of Law. In 2003, he published an incisive law review "The Law of the Simpsons" combining his love of the law and his love of The Simpsons, a show that has brought joy and laughter to three generations of Wertheims.Funeral Service 1:00 pm, THURSDAY, April 30th, at ADATH JESHURUN CONGREGATION, 10500 Hillside Ln W, Minnetonka, also available via LiveStream at www.adathjeshurun.org.
