Shop in Beccles to close and relocate to Henstead Centre
Beccles Mobility, currently based on Common Lane North, will move to Henstead Arts & Crafts Centre south of Lowestoft.
The business will close its current store on Saturday, May 2, before reopening around seven miles away at the new location on Friday, May 15.

Owner and manager Rachel Earl said increasing overheads had influenced the decision, and described the move as essential to the company's future.
Ms Earl said: "The reason why I have chosen to move the business is the same as many companies – due to overhead costs.
"It was either close completely or find alternative premises with a more affordable rent and continue to supply local people with mobility aids, including scooters, wheelchairs, walking aids and much more.

"Henstead Arts and Crafts Centre seemed the perfect choice, not only does it have a great community feel there, it also offers on-site parking, including disabled parking to allow easy access to its independent shops, workshops, and café."
Beccles Mobility will join a range of independent traders at Henstead Arts & Crafts Centre, including metaphysical supply shop Pica Crystal and Gifts, second-hand retailer Young & Old, and children's clothing store Robins Nest.
Located just off the A12, the new premises will also allow the business to expand its product range.

Alongside electric mobility scooters and wheelchairs, Beccles Mobility supplies a wide selection of smaller aids designed to support independent living. These include rotating chair pads, crutches, walking sticks, sock aids, and other equipment.
Ms Earl said she hoped the relocation would not only secure the company's future but also allow it to continue supporting customers across the local area.
The store's new opening hours will be Wednesday and Friday to Sunday, 10am to 3pm.
