Prince William fears Harry, Meghan royal return could be ‘beginning of the end’
Prince William is said to believe that welcoming Prince Harry and Meghan Markle back into the royal family fold could mark the “beginning of the end.”
A palace insider revealed that the Prince of Wales has been left frustrated following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s recent Australia tour.
What enraged him more were Harry’s remarks about never wanting to be a working royal, with the insider claiming that there are concerns that their return could damage the monarchy’s stability.
While King Charles is more open to mending ties with Harry and Meghan, William is said to strongly oppose the idea.
“Harry openly saying he didn’t want to be a royal has enraged William. Some members of the establishment are pushing for the Sussexes to be brought back, and that sickens William,” the insider told Heat Magazine.
They said the future King “doesn’t feel he’s being given any say, because his father is edging closer to signing off on this disaster.
“From William’s perspective, it will mark the beginning of the end. Welcoming the Sussexes back into the fold, so they can shamelessly exploit their titles is horrifying to him.
“He says Meghan will eventually turn on them – and if Charles gives in, it could backfire.”
During his visit to InterEdge Summit, Harry made a bombshell statement, claiming he never wanted a role within royal family.
“After my mum died, I was like, ‘I don't want this job. I don't want this role,’” he admitted. 'I was very much against it, and I stuck my head in the sand for years and years.”
