Photo: GettyFormer junior minister Michael Healy-Rae, in one of his final letters to the Taoiseach, pressed Micheál Martin to relax rules for landlords ahead of major changes to rental rules.The Independent Kerry TD, who owns numerous properties, wrote to Mr Martin in February — after being lobbied by a group of Cork-based landlords, spearheaded by property developer Frank Sheahan — urging him to amend legislation.
