Probe launched after man dies in Cork house fire

An investigation is under way after a man in his 50s died in a house fire in Cork on Thursday.Emergency services were called to the scene near Rylane shortly after 12.30pm, where fire services extinguished the fire.A man’s body was discovered at the scene and it’s understood that foul play is not suspected at this time.A garda spokesperson said the coroner has been notified and a technical examination of the scene will be conducted.“A post-mortem will take place in due course,” gardaí added. “Investigations are ongoing.”
