Harry, Meghan receive brutal backlash over ‘royal-style’ Australia tour
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received brutal criticism from a royal expert following their recent four-day visit to Australia.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently went on a non-royal tour where they attended a series of engagements connected to their projects.
The trip, which was carried out under tight security, was described by some royal experts as a “royal-style” tour.
While dubbing it a royal-style tour, they also noted that it lacked the scale and excitement of their 2018 visit when they toured the country as working members of the Royal family.
Speaking on it, royal commentator Jane Moore criticised the couple for continuing to use their royal titles despite stepping back from official duties.
“Milking their 'Duke and Duchess' titles for all their worth, the Montecito grifters have just completed a Down Under 'royal tour' by any other name,” she told The Sun.
She continued, “Remember when our late Queen — who would have been 100 this week — told Harry and Meghan that they couldn’t be 'half-in, half-out' members of the Royal Family and they flounced off to America in a hissy fit?
“Well, four years after her death, they are 'royals for sale' and no one seems able, or perhaps willing, to stop them.”
