'My beautiful baby' -- Irish councillor devastated as daughter killed in car crash
A County Down councilllor has led tributes following the tragic death of his daughter.
Aoife Tinnelly, 24, died in a two-car collision which occurred in the Kilkeel area on Monday evening.
Emergency services attended the scene, where Aoife was pronounced deceased. Two other people were taken to hospital for treatment.

Taking to Facebook on Tuesday afternoon, Newry Mourne and Down Independent councillor Jarlath Tinnelly confirmed the tragedy.
Sharing a picture of a smiling Aoife, Councillor Tinnelly wrote: ‘My beautiful baby Aoife.

Social media users flocked to the comments to extend their condolences to Councillor Tinnelly and his family.
Sinn Féin’s Cathy Mason wrote: ‘I’m so sorry Jarlath, I know there will be no words to ease the pain.
‘You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. May Aoife’s gentle soul rest in peace.’

Another commented: ‘What a beautiful girl. I am deeply sorry for your loss. Thinking of all of her loved ones at this devastating time.’
A third added: ‘Utterly heartbreaking Jarlath, thinking of you all. RIP Aoife.’
The collision, which occured between a blue Mercedes-Benz and a white Audi A1, happened shortly before 6.30pm on Monday, April 20, on the Newry Road.
A PSNI spokesperson told Belfast Live that enquiries were continuing.
They said: ‘Our enquiries are continuing, and we would appeal to anyone who witnesses the collision, or to anyone who may have CCTV, dash-cam or other footage that could assist with our investigation, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 1288 20/04/26.’
