Jewel wants to 'slide into' Kim Kardashian's DM's' to ask her THIS question!
Jewel and Kim K collaboration when?While at the 2026 Breakthrough Prize Ceremony, Jewel opened up about her art exhibit, where one of her pieces references Kim Kardashian’s sex tape and the other takes data from the ocean to help her create music through her art.Jewel referenced Kim Kardashian’s sex tape with Ray J in one of her pieces where she tells PauseRewind’s entertainment reporter Kevin Zelman, “The whole show is about feminine memory and how we perceive women, how we exploit women, and how we empower them.”But has she heard from Kim K. about this? “I should slide into her DMs. I love what she's done. It's really empowering.”Also on display in Jewel’s exhibit is work that mixes art and music “I had this eureka moment when I wanted to see if I could create sculptural instruments that nature played and actually give nature a voice.”Jewel continued, “So I created a sound vocabulary and a light vocabulary, and I worked with NASA to live-stream data sets from the ocean, for instance. And so as the ocean changes, if the waves are higher, the sound is different."When asked if this music can be heard in her own songs, she shared, “It actually has become music. And so, it's a 12-minute piece of music. Another one is a 12-minute choral arrangement. And so it's sort of a progression of my music.”Don’t expect to hear these otherworldly sounds and music when she hits the road, but she does share she “maybe” has something special planned for her fans. “Probably not for a normal show. If I was to create a kind of like a traveling performative art piece, I would,” she said.The “You Were Meant For Me” singer also opened up about her synesthesia, which means she experiences “a sensory crossover, like tasting sounds or hearing colors,” according to the Cleveland Clinic.
