Royal State Visit: What We Know So Far?
New details have been released ahead of the King and Queen’s upcoming visit to the United States — a four-day tour set to combine diplomacy, remembrance, and cultural outreach.
Their Majesties will begin in Washington, D.C., where they’ll take part in a series of high-profile engagements. These include a ceremonial military review, as well as a tea party and garden party.
A major highlight will be the King’s private meeting with President Donald Trump, followed by a state dinner at the White House.
But the defining moment of the trip is expected to be the King’s address to Congress — a rare honour that will make him only the second British monarch to do so, underlining the strength of the UK–US relationship.
