Kim Kardashian is expanding her career portfolio by taking on the role of Broadway producer. The reality television personality and businesswoman, who is training to be a lawyer, has agreed to help produce the stage play The Fear of 13, which tells the true story of Nick Yarris, a man who was incarcerated on death row for over two decades after being convicted for rape and a murder he maintains he did not commit. Yarris was released from prison on January 16, 2004.In a video shared on Instagram, Kim said: "For the past decade, criminal justice reform has been a deeply personal mission of mine. I've seen firsthand how the system can fail, and I've committed myself to fighting for those who have been silenced."She went on to add: "This play tells a powerful true story of Nick Yarris, who spent 22 years on death row for a crime he didn't commit. Johnson was freed in June 2018 and subsequently, in August 2020, received a complete pardon from Trump, restoring her rights.The Fear of 13 penned by Lindsey Ferrentino, features Adrien Brody and Tessa Thompson in leading roles, with direction by Tony Award-winner David Cromer. The production is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday.Kim has been studying to become a lawyer, hoping to follow in the footsteps of her late father, Robert Kardashian, who served on O.J. Simpson's defence team and was undergoing a four-year-long legal apprenticeship through the California Law Office Study Program.Kardashian announced in November 2025 that she had failed her bar exam, but also said last year that she had graduated from a law programme.
