HEROPOP crowds fill Eagles Meadow with cosplay and music
The free event, which ran from 11am to 3pm on Saturday April 11, proved a big hit with families, with people gathering throughout the day to watch performances, meet characters and snap photos.
Pictures shared from the day show just how busy it was, with the centre packed and plenty of people stopping to take in the action.
From superheroes to pop favourites, the cosplay characters were a major draw, especially for younger visitors who were keen to meet them up close.

Those in attendance were able to spot some instantly recognisable faces, including tributes to Batman and Spider-Man, alongside towering Transformers cosplayers that proved a hit with the crowds.
There was also a standout performance from a Kpop tribute, which has skyrocketed in popularity with young fans.
The women performed the award-winning song 'Golden' from the movie soundtrack, which had families dancing and singing along.

Many took the chance to grab photos, with fun meet-and-greet moments.
Live performances and sing-alongs added to the atmosphere, with music carrying across the shopping centre and drawing in shoppers as they passed through. Even those who hadn’t planned to attend seemed to get caught up in it.
Ahead of the event, organisers said they hoped to create “an unforgettable experience for all ages, children and adults alike,” with a day full of “fun, surprises, memorable moments and incredible photo opportunities for the whole family.”
Judging by the turnout, it’s fair to say that’s exactly what was delivered.
