Police at Reading Minster Church after man arrested
The force said they were called to the church on St Mary's Butts just after midday on Sunday, April 12, and arrested a man who had entered the church during a service and "caused criminal damage".

Photos shared with the Chronicle by a member of the public show multiple police cars surrounding the church's main entrance, with a waiting police van.
According to a witness, police 'carried' a man out of the church and took him away in the van.

Photos taken slightly later show a heavy police presence still at the scene, with officers milling about outside the church.
Thames Valley Police told the Chronicle they would maintain a presence in the town centre for "reassurance" patrols following the "distressing" incident.
