There’s no denying she’s a nepo baby, but the way Shiloh Jolie landed her role in a major K-pop music video might surprise you.
Burgeoning dancer Shiloh, 19, is one of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s six children. They also have Maddox, 24, Zahara, 21, Pax, 22, and 17-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
And while she’d be justified in using her Oscar-winning parents as a way to get a foot in the door, she’s deciding to do things differently.
Viewers got a surprise when the teen popped up in the teaser for K-pop artist Dayoung’s new music video, shared on Starship Entertainment’s YouTube channel this week.
In the What’s A Girl To Do trailer, Shiloh is spotted with a group of pals, where the artist (who is also a member of the group WJSN) joins them before a routine breaks out.
Shiloh is undeniably the spitting image of her Hollywood star mum, 50, her locks braided away from her face as she sported a stylish lace crop top with baggy trousers.

She also wore gold hoops and added gloss to her pouty lips as a finishing touch.
But Shiloh wasn’t selected for the gig because of whose offspring she is – she actually attended an open casting.
A representative for Starship Entertainment recently told Maeil Business Newspaper Star: ‘We held an open audition in the United States of America (US) to cast performers for Dayoung’s music video.
‘Among those who took part were several performers affiliated with a dance crew called Culture.’
They added: ‘Shiloh was selected in the final round and ended up joining Dayoung’s music video.
‘Even after filming, we had no idea she was the child of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and only found out by chance quite recently.’

Shiloh has a real passion for dance, having been seen attending classes in Los Angeles.
Choreographer Kolanie Marks also heaped praise on her when speaking about collaborating at the Millennium Dance Complex.
‘My style is a lot harder for a lot of people, and it’s something that she’s dedicated herself to trying to figure out,’ he told People in 2024.
He further lauded her ‘consistency’ and said he loves how ‘dedicated’ she is to dance, ‘whatever [it] is for her’.
As for her home life, it seems Shiloh wants to compartmentalise.
‘That’s something I don’t talk to her about,’ stated Kolanie. ‘I keep it very strictly based off of what we focus on, which is the dancing.’

But if you’re expecting to catch her in a blockbuster in the near future, then think again, because Angelina has had to admit defeat – her kids just haven’t got the acting bug.
Speaking at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival last year, the renowned philanthropist shared: ‘I always wanted them to be around film because I wanted them to know as a part of – it’s such a wonderful family to be creative, to be an artist, to be… They’re not interested.
‘They really don’t like any of the celebrity part of it, especially Shiloh hates it.
‘I think in a very healthy way they don’t… It’s not a normal thing. It’s a silly thing, really.’
She added that while ‘none of them are dying to be on-screen’, some of her kids ‘dance, some of them paint, [and] some of them love theatre’.
As for Brad’s relationship with his brood, while the kids have walked the red carpet with Angelina, things are more turbulent with their dad.

In August 2024, Shiloh dropped ‘Pitt’ from her surname, four months before her parents finally reached a divorce settlement. She filed to legally change her name to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie following her 18th birthday.
At the time, her attorney said she made the choice after ‘painful events’ but did not elaborate further, adding simply in a legal notice that it was an ‘independent and significant decision’.

Shiloh’s younger sister, Vivienne, also dropped her dad’s surname, while Zahara has introduced herself without it, too. In February this year, Maddox followed suit.
Neither Mr. & Mrs Smith star has publicly spoken about the change in their kids’ monikers, but a source told People that Brad, 62, was ‘upset’ by the developments, seeing them as ‘reminders that he’s lost his children’.
A separate source close to the Fight Club actor said: ‘He still loves all of his kids tremendously.
‘This whole process has been very hard for the whole family.’
