Dashcam footage from Webster Groves Police Department shows the heart‑stopping rescue on Interstate 44.The crash happened on March 18, according to the Webster Groves Police Department. The video shows flames pouring from the vehicle as the driver remained trapped inside. Officer Alex Edgar ran to the burning vehicle and without hesitation jumped into action to try and save the driver’s life.The Webster Groves Police Department released the dramatic video, calling Edgar’s actions quick and decisive.“Without hesitation, Officer Edgar broke out the sunroof and pulled the driver to safety,” a department spokesperson said.The department released the video this week. It has since circulated online, highlighting the risks officers face and the split‑second decisions made during emergency responses.
