Australia halves fuel taxes for 3 months as global oil prices rise
Australia will halve fuel and diesel taxes for three months in an effort to ease rising costs driven by global oil price pressures.
The move would cut the cost of fuel by 26.3 Australian cents ($0.18) per litre.
Victoria is also offering free travel throughout April, while Tasmania has waived fares until the end of June, though other states have so far declined to follow suit.
