Tell us: have you used AI to plan a holiday?
More people are turning to AI to design their holidays, whether that’s asking ChatGPT for inspiration or using AI trip planners. Almost a fifth of adults under 25 now use AI to plan breaks, according to a 2025 survey of 2,000 people by the UK travel industry body Abta. Overall, twice as many people said they used AI than the year before (8% in 2025 versus 4% in 2024). Over-55s were the least likely to use AI for holiday planning (less than 3%).However, many travellers have reported that AI delivers incomplete, out of date or even false information – sometimes “hallucinating” non-existent attractions or destinations. We would like to hear from holidaymakers about their experiences of using AI. What tools did you use and how did they help (or not)? What was the best AI-generated advice you received? What was the worst? Did you act on the recommendations, and how did it go?
