Formal identification was still to be completed as of Saturday afternoon, but police believe her to be a woman in her thirties. Her family have been informed.A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene and he remains in police custody.A murder investigation has been launched by the Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) and enquiries continue to be carried out at the scene.Specially trained family liaison officers will continue to support the family while the investigation is underway and police work to establish the full circumstances of her death.Police have confirmed there will be 'a significant police presence in the area' over the coming days.Police also confirmed they are not looking for anybody else in connection to this death at this time.Neighbourhood officers will be carrying out extra patrols in the area and will be available to speak with anyone who has concerns.Officers could be seen on Saturday afternoon stood outside of a property in the area, which appeared to be a door to a flat above a local shop.PCSOs have also been 'standing guard' around a very small cordon in place at the scene.The area is said to be one of the busiest junctions in St Pauls with traffic passing through consistently and is around 200 yards from the M32 motorway junction.Police have urged anybody with information which could assist with enquiries to call 101 quoting reference number 5226077586 or complete an online appeals form.
